Banaras aka Varanasi

This was the time I went with my family to a place called Banaras in the india accent or Varanasi in the international language. Well not to be mentioned my family members seem to be nice people after all. LOL.

Well we aren't here to talk about my family though. Varanasi it is! A place where people sell you wishes of the divine. Every morning they wear their uniforms of color orange or saffron, and they become the salesmen of GOD.

We went to the biggest names in the temples in India. Although we had VIP police escorts who provided us the VIP entries to through the doors of God's house. We didn't shed a sweat, and the people who were in the lines waiting to get a glimpse of their beloved deity were looking at us with strange eyes as we have done something illegal.

I say yes we have done something illegal. I actually felt the shame while walking in front of all those souls.

But the main question is ..is it right?

Does commercialization help in the maintenance of the temples? or is it just a new industry, a type of service industry? Even if it is functioning as an industry, the thing is booming in this place. There are temples where the sadhus are actually paid monthly salaries for their work.

And businesses run just fine. I saw the head sadhu with a Damn Iphone 6, and a high end watch. OMG! that thing was killing me.

They tell us that we would find moksh! what have they got? They aren't even close to moksha! they themselves want to achieve the human desires.

So what are they teaching then? Somewhere in the cost of that iphone 6, there is a donation of a pure hearted man who donated everything he had to his God, and not his salesmen.

I feel sad for the man. And i think we should not donate even a penny to the temples. The Govt. pays for their maintenance.

Lemme know what u feel.
